Rumsfeld "inspired by God"

Uhhhuuuummmm ... Now it has just gone too far.

From the AFP ...
Top US General says Rumsfeld is inspired by God

The top US general defended the leadership of Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, saying it is inspired by God.

"He leads in a way that the good Lord tells him is best for our country," said Marine General Peter Pace, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
Hm. Okay.

"The Ten Commandments are a code of living to which there's no refutation. These precepts correspond to irrepressible needs of the human soul."

"“Anyone who dares to lay hands on the highest image of the Lord commits sacrilege against the benevolent creator of this miracle and contributes to the expulsion from paradise."

"“Imbued with the desire to secure for the German people the great religious, moral, and cultural values rooted in the two Christian Confessions, we have abolished the political organizations but strengthened the religious institutions."

"Secular schools can never be tolerated because such schools have no religious instruction, and a general moral instruction without a religious foundation is built on air; consequently, all character training and religion must be derived from faith."
The only problem with faith is that it has (popularly) become an instrument by which persuasive people can manipulate the believer into thinking they are spiritually compelled to do something or follow some one. That is not necessarily flaw in the religion its self. I am speaking more to the gullibility of humans, which is perhaps a greater weapon of mass destruction than any bomb in any arsenal.

Always be wary of those who claim to be lead by God.
