Global Peace Index

A group called Vision of Humanity has posted the world's first "Global Peace Index", ranking all the nations of the world in order of most peaceful to most violent.

Surprise, surprise (?): the United States of America is at #96. A few other rankings -- Japan: #5 -- Australia: #10 -- Spain: #21 -- Qatar: #30 -- Ghana: #40 -- United Kingdom: #49.

Iraq ... is at the very bottom of the list, with Darfur ranked just one spot above it. Does that mean what is going on in Iraq is worse than the ongoing genocide in Darfur? I shudder to think.
