Freedom of Speech under attack

In 1971, the State of California attempted to prosecute a man named Paul Robert Cohen for wearing a jacket that read, "FUCK THE DRAFT." His case went all the way to the United States Supreme Court. The court denied the state's request to prosecute. It was a triumph for the Freedom of Speech, and a defining moment of the peace movement. For more details, click here.

Days ago, a young man in Florida was arrested for holding up a sign that read, "FUCK BUSH!"

This is the video of that arrest. (I would have posted the actual video, but YouTube tends to destory my blogger template. Just click and it'll play.)

We must not allow such abuse of our Constitutional rights.

Please pass this on.
