Just 16 percent?!?

Amazing.

A new poll conducted by the New York Times and CBS News reveals that just 16 percent of America thinks BushCo is telling the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth about the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.

53 percent said they think BushCo is hiding something. Another 28 percent thinks the administration is "mostly lying" about what they knew prior to the attacks.

That 16 percent is an amazing minority. Perhaps more amazing is the fact that while just 16 percent think he's being truthful about 9/11, right about 34 percent still support him. Which means that a full 18 percent of the country is willfully supporting a person they believe to be a liar.

And here, my friends, we find the Republican fringe, the kindly people of wingnuttia: those who would give up their country if it means extending the power of a party that merely pretends to represent them.

Though, really, the same can (and should) be said about the Democrats. They've got their own fringe, and it isn't pretty. Still ... Just 16 percent?!?
