Ron Paul funds surge; CNN clueless
The Paul-Train is kicking ass and taking names. Donor names. Signatures, credit card numbers, and even cash. Big time.
What's this Freedom Thing we keep hearing about? Seems like it is popular. Paul has ramped up his fund raising to a level that is sending shockwaves through the information filter.
BlueRudy, BaseballMitt and even McWar(/Cain) have dropped off, bringing in lower numbers than prior reports. Yet Paul has more than doubled his total funds from the last finance report. The campaign currently has over $5 million on-hand.
Yet, watching CNN, you'd think nobody has ever heard of the guy. (More on that in a couple paragraphs.)
BUT! (And this is important.) The GOP is none too happy with this development. Paul's campaign really thinks it can win some of the upcoming primaries, especially New Hampshire, and they are on the make.
The Party's response has been to quietly close registration for their primaries early, so as to prevent a mass influx of "new" Republicans (read: Independents, Libertarians and Democrats) from spoiling their fun. The national party even went so far as to remove his name from an online straw poll when he was leading to such an absurd degree, replacing him with "None." (They claimed his supporters were spamming, but have never backed up the claim with, say, IP logs.) When "None" was leading the poll, they re-added Paul (back at zero votes) and locked out any further votes being registered in his favor.
So, with this knowledge, all you diligent citizens and Paul'ies should listen close ...
IF YOU WANT TO VOTE FOR RON PAUL, MAKE SURE TO LIST "REPUBLICAN" ON YOUR VOTER REGISTRATION CARD NO LATER THAN OCTOBER 12 (in most states).
