If you need me, I'll be in Nutopia
A new documentary, titled The U.S. Versus John Lennon, is set to reinvigorate the American Peace Movement. Recently, film-makers launched two websites to promote the movie.
One, The Grudge Report, offers news items related to the events depicted in the film. A play on popular news website The Drudge Report, Grudge will continue to update as readers send in tips related to the life of Lennon and his battles with the American government.
The other website, Nutopia, promotes the new nation of the same name. Founded by John and wife Yoko Ono back in the 60's, the nation of Nutopia has no broders, passports or written laws. To become a citizen, one must simply declare he or she knows of its existence. The website provides prospective migrants an opportunity to apply for citizenship, though everybody is accepted. It also offers downloads of the classic artwork designed by John and Yoko, declaring that "War is OVER - if you want it." The site also offers a download of the nation of Nutopia's flag, which is a simple white box framed in black.
