A heroic encounter
William Rodriguez is coming to town. Don't know William? Apparently, neither did this guy ...
William Rodriguez is a genuine American hero. For over two decades, he worked as a custodian at the World Trade Center in New York City. And on 9/11, he was the sole holder of the master key that firefighters needed to save people trapped in the towers. He heroically risked his life to save others, going into and out of the buildings numerous times before the collapses.
The thing about William is, the entire time this was happening, he was hearing explosions. Even before the first plane hit, he claims there were bombs going off in the basement. Since 9/11, he's been homeless and unemployed, until he finally began telling his story.
Now he's on an international tour, raising awareness of what he personally witnessed take place on that fateful day. He carries with him a woefully different version of the events than what has been fed to us by the Bush Administration -- yet in spite of this, William has been personally honored by President Bush at the White House on numerous occasions.
He is a nationally-recognized hero, and you have every reason to hear this man out.
William will be in Dallas on August 9, speaking at the Lakewood Theater (map) on Abrams Road. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and William will speak at 7:30. His speech will last about an hour and a half, and he will be available shortly thereafter to meet with and speak to visitors.
Admission is free, but donations are encouraged.
(And on a personal note, I'd like to thank the owners of the Lakewood Theater for holding such an event. This is not the first time they have sponsored vocal dissenters, nor, I suspect, will it be the last.)
