White House "VNR's" (propaganda) now under investigation
The Independent is reporting on a series of "VNR's" or "Video News Releases" the White House produced over the last few years. Apparently, these video clips were distributed to local news networks, many of them of the FOX brand, to be aired as normal news segments.
The videos included propaganda of all sorts, from promoting corporate brands to lying about the war in Iraq or pumping up support for one of Bush's foolish domestic policies. It is propaganda, which is forbidden by the Constitution.
But, when has that ever stopped these tyrants before?
