"Lottie's Love" - a short story by Kinky Friedman
This is a remarkably moving story written by Kinky Friedman, renouned author and singer/songwriter, who is currently running as an Independent candidate for Texas Governor.
Some people say he's a racist, despite his time spent in the Peace Corps in Borneo, or picketing segrigated eateries in Austin. In my mind, actions speak louder than words. But the words linked to above speak pretty damn loud.
"Lottie's Love" is eloquent, genuine, and moving. Such words were never spoken by a person motivated by hate.
Please give this short story a read, even if you aren't a Texan. This world needs more people like Kinky Friedman. Remember, election day is Nov. 7!
